About Rob Feltner

Rob Feltner grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Brevard County in 1995. After 12 years working for a hospitality management company in various management positions, Rob decided to go to school full-time, graduating from Brevard Community College and the University of Central Florida.

Rob has been engaged with our community and the State of Florida in many ways. From 2008 to 2010, he worked for the Florida House as a Legislative Aide. Those two years following the housing crash were austere as the State of Florida had to make significant budget cuts. Unlike the Federal Government, the State must balance its budget each year. Rob believes that government must live within its means, rather than raising taxes to cover shortfalls.

In 2010, Rob founded a consulting firm to help elect candidates who share his conservative beliefs. Over the years, Rob has worked to elect State Legislators, Judges, Constitutional Officers, Port Commissioners, County Commissioners, School Board Members, and City Officials throughout Brevard and Indian River Counties.

“I appreciate your consideration of my candidacy and I hope to earn your vote for the Brevard County Commission.”

In 2013, Rob went to work for newly elected Brevard County Property Appraiser, Dana Blickley. From 2013 to 2019, Rob served as the Director of Governmental Affairs and Public Relations. He was responsible for outreach to the community and Brevard’s municipal governments and developed key county-wide relationships. He also served as the Public Information Officer and designed the print media for the office.

During his time at the Property Appraiser’s Office, Rob assisted Dana Blickley in petitioning the Florida Legislature to increase the widows’ property tax exemption and to revise state law regarding property tax liens. As the son of a combat wounded disabled veteran, Rob especially enjoyed his work to inform local veterans of their eligibility for additional property tax exemptions. Rob represented the Property Appraiser’s Office at the yearly Wickham Park Traveling Wall event honoring Vietnam War Veterans.

Rob has consulted with the National Veterans Homeless Support about their legislative priorities and helped plan their annual fundraiser for several years.

In 2019, Rob left the Property Appraiser’s Office so he could work full-time in his consulting business.  Whether working for the county or for his clients, Rob always finds the most efficient way to get the job done.

Shortly after moving to Brevard County, Rob joined the Indialantic Rotary Club.  He also became a Precinct Committeeman for the Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) and for a while, was the youngest member. During the 2000 election, Rob made phone calls on behalf of Republican candidates 4 nights a week at the Indian Harbour Beach BREC office.  In 2004, Rob had the privilege of serving as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention in New York City. Over the last two dozen years, Rob has worked to elect Republicans in Brevard, Indian River counties. He most recently worked on the BREC’s efforts to elect Mayor Wes Morrison in Cape Canaveral and Councilman Pete Filiberto in Palm Bay.

In recent years, Rob volunteered as a board member for Take Stock in Children, a local organization that mentors at risk students with high school graduation as the goal. Many of these students go on to receive college scholarships. Rob is also on the Board of Directors of St. Joseph’s Catholic School.

Rob and Veronica have been married for 20 years. They live in the Suntree area with their much-loved Shih Tzu, Mr. Darcy.  In their spare time, they like to attend car shows and music festivals.  Daughter Lorraine lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband Drew and baby daughter.
